Place Alerts (“the App”) is operated by Desert Brick Software LLC (“Company”, “we”, “us”).

This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles information. The App is designed to be local-first and privacy-focused, meaning your data stays on your device unless you choose to share it.

Information We Do Not Collect

The App does not collect, store, or transmit personal data to external servers. Specifically, we do not collect:

• Names, email addresses, or account information
• Location history stored on external servers
• Analytics or tracking data
• Usage profiling or behavioral tracking

All reminder data and locations are stored locally on your device only.

We do not sell, share, or transfer your data to third parties.

Information Stored Locally on Your Device

The App stores the following information locally on your device:

• Saved places and associated notes
• Geofence settings (such as radius and location coordinates)
• App preferences and settings

This data is not accessible to us and is not transmitted externally.

Location Data

The App uses your device’s location services to determine when you enter a saved area and trigger reminders.

The App may access location data in the background to detect when you enter a saved location and trigger reminders, even when the App is not actively in use.

• Location data is processed on-device only
• The App does not store or transmit your location data externally
• The App does not continuously track or store your location history

Diagnostic Logs (Debugging Information)

The App may generate diagnostic logs stored locally on your device to help troubleshoot issues.

These logs may include technical information such as:

• App events and state changes
• Timestamps
• Location data associated with geofence events (such as coordinates used to evaluate entry/exit conditions)

Important:

• Logs are stored locally only and are not transmitted automatically
• We do not have access to these logs
• You may choose to share logs manually if you contact support
• If you choose to share logs, they will be used only to investigate and resolve issues

Third-Party Services

The App may rely on system or platform services provided by third parties, including:

• Google Play Services (location services and geofencing)
• Google Play Billing (if applicable for purchases)

These services are governed by their own privacy policies.

The App does not currently use third-party analytics or crash reporting tools.

Data Access and Control

Because all data is stored locally:

• You can delete your data at any time by uninstalling the App or clearing app storage
• We cannot access, retrieve, or recover your data

Your Privacy Rights

Because the App does not collect or store personal data on external servers, most requests related to access, deletion, or correction of personal data can be fulfilled directly on your device.

Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
