Remind Me is a location-based reminder application for Android devices. The app allows users to attach notes to physical places and receive reminders when entering a defined geographic area. The app is local-first and does not require user accounts or operate a backend server.
The app stores place titles, reminder notes, geographic coordinates (latitude/longitude), geofence radius settings, monitoring status, notification timestamps, and diagnostic logs related to app monitoring, geofence events, and notification activity.
This information is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to the developer. Diagnostic logs are only shared with the developer if you manually export and send them for support purposes.
Location Services: The app uses Android foreground and background location services. Android location services may use Google Play Services and assisted GPS (A-GPS), which may communicate with Google infrastructure.
Address Search (Geocoding): If you search for a place by address, the address text is sent to Google’s geocoding service to convert it into coordinates. The developer does not store this information.
Notifications: The app uses Android’s notification system. On Android devices, notification infrastructure may use Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM). The app does not send push notifications from a developer-controlled server.
Google Play Billing: In-app purchases are processed through Google Play Billing. Billing information is handled by Google. The developer does not collect or store payment information.
Remind Me does not require user accounts, collect names, email addresses, or phone numbers, sell or share personal information, use analytics tracking, use crash reporting services, or store user data on developer-controlled servers.
All reminder, location data, and diagnostic logs remain on your device. If you uninstall the app, associated data stored by the app is deleted from your device.
Remind Me is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
All reminder data is stored locally using Android’s application sandboxing. The app does not maintain external databases that could expose user data through a server breach.
Because the app does not collect or store personal data on external servers, most state-level privacy rights requests do not apply in practice.
If you choose to contact support and manually provide exported diagnostic logs, those logs will only be used to investigate the reported issue and will not be retained longer than reasonably necessary to resolve the support request.
This Privacy Policy may be updated if app functionality changes. Updates will be reflected by revising the “Last Updated” date above.
